CPAC coordinates and organizes student tutors within the OCOB to assist those who are in the introductory level accounting classes (BUS 212, 214, 215 and 319). Volunteers are not paid for their services, but are given an incentive in the form of All-Star points. The "tutor lab" is in the OCOB Student Success Center. Tutoring hours vary each quarter, and are partially determined through coordination with the Advising Center, which hires tutors for entry-level business classes. By taking this approach, we have made it possible for a student to come to the Student Success Center to receive help with accounting coursework virtually any time of the week. At the end of the quarter, our CPAC tutors are treated to dinner at Firestone as a thank you for their volunteered time. During the second week of every quarter, CPAC board members visit all of the introductory accounting classes to promote the tutoring program and disseminate the schedule.
